To measure, analyze, and validate its results, AQUAGO relies on its team of hydrobiologist engineers and qualified technicians on water issues, as well as scientific and technical french partners (the IFREMER institute, Universities of Boulogne sur Mer, Lille, Limoges, Metz and Rennes, AgroParisTech, SATESE (Associations which provide technical support for cleaning and following-up the treatment of wastewater, Water Agencies), and foreign partners (University of Hanoï, the IRD of Hanoï, Center for Environment Science Technolgy and Ecology (CESTE), Southern Institute of Water Resources Research (SIWRR) in Viêt-nam, ENZEN in India, South East Water in Australia…).

AQUAGO realized multiple follow-ups and study reports on waterbodies in France, and abroad (Canada, USA, Greece, Morocco, India, Vietnam, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Mali…). A - Control of vegetable spreads
Examples : Myriophyllum spicatum, Elodea canadensis, various duckweeds.
Vegetable proliferations are more and more often occuring on our waterbodies. Those invasive plants coming from other continents benefit a disproportionate growth opportunity as they don't encounter any natural predators. Yet, some solutions exist to limit those proliferations, and to allow native species to recompete with exotic species.
B - How to increase dissolved oxygen rate in fresh water or brackish water
Dissolved oxygen in aquatic environment is the key-parameter of a balanced ecosystem. Its scarcity or lack provokes heavy consequences : bad smells, fish kills, etc.

C - reducing fish kills
Our waterbodies provide shelter for a diversity of wildlife, involving that the ecosystem has to remain balanced. Sometimes it has to be restored. Fishes are a good indicator : a fish kill is an alarm signal for a waterbody manager.
Depending on the diagnosis, we set up suitable solutions.
2- The rehabilitation of wastewater treatment lagoons
The AQUAGO team has been working for years on wastewater treatment issues using natural lagooning. Its knowledge in the involvements of biological interactions allows AQUAGO to propose practical, quick and efficient solutions to limit the dysfunctions of ponds and optimize lagoon's capacity.

A - Reducing bad smells :
Bad smells are symptomatic of a dysfunction in the ponds.
1- Complains from neighbours
2- The dysfonction has to be treated before the problem gets worse.

B - Reducing the proliferation of duckweed :
The development of duckweed on the lagooning ponds causes various problems :
- The lack of light in the water causes a decrease of the treatment capacity.
- Increase of the organic load when the lenses sink into the pond.
- Increased occurence of bad smells.

C - Reducing purple bacteria :
Purple bacteria appearance means that there is a too high concentration of organic elements in the ponds. It announces a decrease of the treatment quality.

D - Increasing the capacity of wastewater treatment lagoons by 30 to 60%
AQUAGO realized a 3-years study on the natural lagooning of Audresselles, testing our solar-powered technology. We were in partnership with the Artois Picardie Water Agency, the SATESE 62, and the municipality of Audresselles. A complete protocol was set up for a precise follow-up of the lagooning and its functioning. The complete report is available on simple request.
